I tried to report this behavior to Uber but they say they are just an intermediary, basically they don't care. Is anyone else experience something similar or is it just me? At least for me, this is becoming not just common but a daily occurrence. The one in the screenshot was 350m away when he picked up the ride and 8km away when I cancelled (he looped around a block 15 times). Lately I have noticed also another trend, where drivers accept the ride and just drive the opposite direction until you cancel (and pay the cancellation fee). As of now I usually wait 25 minutes to get a ride, other times up to one hour and this is because a driver locks my ride only to cancel it after their trip is completed. Drivers pick up the ride while completing a nearby trip, when they complete it, they cancel my ride within a minute or so. Friendly Neighboursĭid you notice any degradation of service with Uber in the past days?įor me it started a few weeks ago, all my rides get cancelled in average 5 times before someone arrives (in some occasions up to 10-11 times).
